Busy as! Line up moves quick. Was easy to find a seat as I was solo. Limited seating. Small shop. Had their house blend which was darker. 8.75/10

📍Dukes Coffee Roasters, 247 Flinders Ln, Melbourne VIC 3000 @dukes_coffee Their flat white is known as one of the best in Melbourne. I love the flavor of their roasted coffee beans, and I really enjoyed the flat white. It was quite busy, and I loved the vibe. They also offer a selection of pastries. 💰Milk Coffee $6 🕒 Hours: Mon–Fri: 07:00–16:30 Sat: 08:00–17:00 Sun: Closed Save this for later 🍀

MELBOURNE COFFEE CRAWL STOP #2. This was my favorite coffee shop in Melbourne. The filtered coffee selection was through the roof. I did the batch brew, which was a Guatemalan and was excellent. Already looking forward to coming back.

Thank God for Dukes. One of the OG of Melbourne coffee scene, and they havent missed a beat. If anything, as per my last visit today, it has gotten better. Service was warm, knowledgeable and friendly where we had a short convo about their selection of coffees. Ambiance was cosy and packed; and naturally, our magik and filter coffee was brewed to perfection. Keep going, Dukes.

Had a really good latte, to my surprise one of the few cafe's that actually uses minor figures (IYKYK) which pleased me greatly. The pain au raisins was pretty good, not as good as in France but still above what some places sell in Melbourne. Will be coming back again for some funky lattes

If you want the perfect coffee every single time, this is the place to go. Honestly, if you know anything about coffee, you cannot find fault with the coffee. It’s actually perfect. Full stop. The constant queue out the door reinforces that. We sat at the coffee and watched the coffee making and it was the most perfectly oiled machine. Every thing has its spot, every staff member knows exactly what they are doing. Your water is refilled without even asking. I just can’t even tell you one think they can do better. Phenomenal

Great coffee with sweet, acidic, and complex notes - easily one of the best in the city. Long black here is delicious. Nice vibes and a professional setup, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a cup. Good selection of pastries to accompany the coffee, rounding out the experience perfectly.

Good vibe and nice taste, maybe is the best cafe I've tried in Melbourne. The coffee bean is very balanced. Busy but not crowded, the only flaw is their seats are limited, I waited five minutes to find a seat after I got the coffee. I'd Love to come here for twice!!

Visited in Nov 2025 Trying out Dukes Coffee Roasters had been on my list of things to do in MEL for a long time and I finally got the chance to visit this cafe during my recent trip to the city. My friends and I tried 3 of their filter coffees. Every coffee we had was really good. Our unanimous favourite was the Columbia Duberney Cifuentes Gesha and I’d definitely recommend folks to try it. Also tried a couple of food items from their bakery which were quite nice too. I really liked their tea cake. This place is super popular with crowds streaming in and out, and therefore there is a good chance you may not get a seat inside. Saw most people just do takeaways. In summary, a great coffee place which you should 100% visit if you’re in MEL CBD area.

Dukes Coffee Roasters continues to demonstrate why they are one of Melbourne’s most respected names in specialty coffee. I started with a piccolo made using their single origin, which was exceptionally clean and expressive. The flavour profile was clear and well-defined, allowing the origin characteristics to shine through without distraction. It reflected careful dialing-in and a deep respect for the coffee itself. I also had a latte using their seasonal blend. It was balanced, smooth, and structured beautifully for milk — rich without being heavy, and sweet without overpowering the espresso base. It showed thoughtful blending designed specifically for milk applications. To fully experience their offering, I ordered a pour-over as well. The filter preparation highlighted their commitment to precision. The cup was clean, transparent, and layered, reinforcing the quality of their organic beans and roasting approach. Beyond the coffee, the customer service stood out just as much. The team was genuinely welcoming and engaged in meaningful conversation, creating an atmosphere that felt both professional and relaxed. Their passion for coffee was evident, and it elevated the entire experience. Dukes delivers excellence not only in the cup, but in the culture they create around coffee. Great service, great energy, and great coffee — exactly what defines Melbourne’s specialty scene. Every cup tells a story.
